lonizer, apparently you weren’t there, but Obama couldn’t do anything he wanted. Remember the second stimulus package, after the first one had good effects? You should pay attention to recent history.
@LozerIt takes as many years to fix an economy as it takes to break an economy. How do you expect the president to fix eight years of destruction in two years? And don’t forget that the cons fought him every step of the way, especially with the Senate with those record number of filibusters by the turtle man McConnell.
The Dow is at highest level since 2007. The “foreclosures” are happening because the banks might finally be able to sell off their inflated losses (that they inflated). Manufacturing jobs aren’t great, but improving. GM is back up to #1 in vehicle sales over Toyota. Yep, that danged Obama hasn’t erased all the losses from the “W” years, so it’s all his fault.
He didn’t close Guantanamo. He took his own sweet time ending DADT.He didn’t end the Bush era tax cuts for the rich…What else do you want us to blame him for?
And since ALL current and former living congressmembers and Presidents are and were responsible for this debt; a portion of their respective pay and/or retirement should be garnished and applied toward reducing that debt. And how about a 50% tax rate for all PACs and SuperPACs to be applied directly to the debt?

The ship was already going down when the US electorate threw Obama to the sharks. Or elected him. Same thing.
