“Jerry King” (it’s hard not to think of him as Jerry Lawler!) in panel 3 looks suspicious and/or skeptical of Thunderchild’s supposedly charitable involvement….

It is so good to see Jerry King (Lawler) in the strip. It reminds me when Chet would put someone famous in the strip (Spike Dyke/Smith, anyone?). It’s so cool that Mike and Joe are keeping that tradition alive. Now… to wait for the Valentine’s Special.

It’s good to be the King! When I was recovering from major surgery a looong time ago, I used to watch Jerry Lawler in action with the WWW. Then the Andy Kaufman stuff (what can you call that?), and now meeting Dick Tracy!I’ve said it before – I love this strip!

Bravo Team Tracy !!! Every day is an adventure in Comic Strip Land. -Say, maybe someone should explore developing a theme park or perhaps adding a Comic Strip Land addition to an existing theme park … ?

I just wonder when The King sees Lizz, is he gonna make a comment about “puppies”?

In the first panel, Jerry King looks quite a bit like Open-Mind Monty – except of course, he doesn’t have a fake knife stuck to his forehead.

Surely if they did put her in the comic, she’d be a lookalike who meets a dire fate, ala Flakey Biscuits.

Has anyone compiled a list of reformed Dick Tracy villians?? Like I said before…I can think of The Mole Influence Pear Shape Lips Manilis a.k.a. Bob Honnor Steve the Tramp Coffeehead went straight after prison, but seemed to still carry a grudge against Tracy. Stooge Villar seemed to reformed on his deathbed…he shook hands with Tracy just before passing away. oh, yes I forgot B.O. Plenty and Gravel Gertie and has there ever been a picture of their new-born??

@scorpy007:I was just thinking of the Plenty baby today. They kind of left us hanging on that one, didn’t they? The last we saw, or heard, was all the talk about how awful it would be to show him. Maybe Mike and Joe have future plans along those lines?

I use to love wrestling, but now all my favorites are either dead or retired. I wonder if they had to get permission from Mr. Lawler to use his image. I understand it use to be easy to do a cartoon take-off on a famous person. Now due to copy-right red tape you have to ask permission every time!
