    Shows how pathetic the shrinking of the comics is. Nowadays most cartoonists wouldn’t try to put this much into a Sunday page, let alone a daily. Newspapers cry their eyes out about losing readers. Well wasn’t it smart to drive them away by ruining your primary draw- the comics. Hey, geniuses, that’s what was selling your papers.

    @Scott RobertsYou’re right. They should have made the comics section BIGGER and had more photos in the sports section. Those were always the first two parts of the paper I read.

    Look at some of the newspapers in the old movies…at least half again as big as the ones today…I’ve got two from 1951…they’re big!!!

    Yes the good ole days were the best for comics and even for safety when autos would start slowing down a block before the intersection . Now i sit in the passenger seat and hope those fast idiots have sense enough to stop period,

    There was a sketch comedy show in the ‘90s called The Newz, which once had a sketch about an HMO’s “friends and family” plan; if you go in for an operation, one of your loved ones gets free surgery, whether he wants it or not.
