Versatility is his middle name (G’s, that is, if he has a surname). At least Jon hasn’t been thrown out of the restaurant (diner?) yet – and he’s on a date with Liz. As others have said, it’s just a question of if there’s any food left.

Obviously, Jon doesn’t trust Liz enough to give her a door key. Just think what fun she could have with his wardrobe while he was out.
Perhaps, though, all his clothes started out as normal and mutated through being worn in a clownish way.
