Actually, this week I’ve been having very little trouble (knock wood.) When I do, I always wonder how many others are having the same trouble. This was a fun diversion, but back to normal next week. Anyone spot the original logo?
I have the complete archives myself, or pretty close to. As of today, I count 3,028 Working Daze strips. 388 by Andre, 1,549 by Kyle and 1,091 by yours truly. Of course, there were some weeks of repeats, so I’d have to total those to see how many all-new strips have appeared. And there may have been rejects along the way. Interesting fact: there were a few strips int he early, Andre period where none of the regular characters appeared. That can happen when a feature is first establishing itself.
The first is Andre Noel’s take on Jay, the second is Kyle Miller’s Rita. Actually, hsi later Rita. Kyle did the characters very differently at first. We know not all our readers saw the old strips, so this one is bound to be a conversation piece. Maybe if there were a Cheers comic, we could use that look for Lillith. But Kyle made it up.
Grats on making it to 10 years. Actually noticed the logo change before reading the commends (only from reading the last of yesterdays :P). Think that’s the closest Rita has come to outright cruelty since the first year of the strip. Go work and leave the cake? never!
Congratulation on your anniversary. I recognized the logo and each of the characters, but I’ve seen all the strip since the start. I was already retired for two years when this strip started, so I could sit back and laugh at the memories, and not have to live it anymore. Thanks guys. Keep up the good work.

But the idea was to show the different stages of the strip. including the present. The trick was picking which character would represent which.
