Love this story line. Great heart and depth to it and still humorous.

Great idea, Alix, but I’m not sure that she’ll be able to get it past customs, or the TSA since they’re SUPER picky about everything.

When I was a kid, we would go down to the banana guys in town, and they would save us tarantulas We’d bring them home, but they usually got away. Their bite is about as bad as a bee sting, but the famous dance, “Tarantella” is all about being bitten by one. We had assembly programs where a guy would bring in big snakes and show them. He would let tarantulas climb all over him, saying that they liked the heat of his body. Well, I guess if you have no one else who does, you can try for a spider. (Not a black widow, however)

Bargrove: I draw the line at earthworms. Some have a beneficial place, but they stop at the door and the body.

Grandma can bring her home one of Haiti’s cat sized rats!

Alix is cool. I wouldn’t want a tarantula myself, but if she does, more power to her.

Heck, you don’t have to go to Haiti for tarantulas. We have some here in Oklahoma.

Cute, but won’t let her bring it on the plane.
