Eric: Hey, guys! I'm Eric - The exchange student from Winnipeg!" Nate: I must say, Michael really captured my rugged good looks!" Panel 4/Nate: Canada? We've been robbed! You're supposed to be a FOREIGN exchange student! That's only 200 miles away! Eric: In my land, it's 320 kilometers."

This strip better not be making fun of Canadians! I’m Canadian. American TV shows and stuff got all this stuff about Canadians all wrong. We don’t talk on high pitched voices or say “aboot” instead of about. They’ve got to learn to respect us more. We smile and say sorry.:-p That’s for making fun of us

Assuming the contest winner’s cartoon is accurate, Nate must live in the northern Midwest part of the USA, not on the East Coast as some have speculated. Winnipeg is north of the North Dakota/Minnesota border.
