Janis looks sad while she watches Gene leave for school. Janis tells Arlo, "In a few years, Gene will leave for college." Janis sadly exclaims, "My baby will be gone!" Arlo replies, "It won't be all bad, you know." Janis angrily screams, "Oh, sure! You started saving for tuition the day he was born!"

Why does everyone assume PARENTS are going to pay for someone’s college? College students are ADULTS! I was fortunate enough to have parents who would have helped if they could, but there’s nothing anywhere that says it’s their responsibility!
