We knew Saddam had (past tense) WMDs because we sold them to him. We didn’t know he’d used them up against Iran & his Kurds & Shiites. He was paying survivors benefits to the families of suicide bombers. We knew Paki intel had connections to religious extremists because we used them to funnel weapons against the Soviets.Realpolitik ain’t pretty, & requires that we keep some kind of war going so we’ll have combat experienced troops when needed. I’m a little surprised Barry learned so quick, the schooling in Indonesia probably helped.Economics is war by other means. The big boys play their games, that’s how history works.Meanwhile, the little people pray their job will still be there when they wake up in the morning, & the wars don’t come their way, so they can feed their kids. That’s how life works.

    U.S.S. Liberty

America needs to learn we can’t buy friends, and that with our “spoiled children”, of many stripes, sparing the rod may spoil the child.

A lie indeed. Why it took Americans to realize it is beyond me.Hey, Americans, if he’s from the Middle East (and he’s not Israeli), THEN HE’S YOUR ENEMY BY DEFAULT. What about “they don’t like us” do Americans not understand??
