The sad thing about this looney line-up of fundmentalist science deniers is that they do not force the current administration to do its job better. It does not take much effort to appear to be a better choice than any of these posturing lunatics. (Except to the Rush followers, of course.)

To me the toon is saying that the cows (people) are backing someone that is leading them to the slaughter house.
