i don’t know whatś for lunch anymore, but 2/3 or more of the food/meals kids eat comes from elsewhere. we only had 2 obese kids in my class at school, and now 2/3 of the kids you see are porkers. mind yer own business, mrs Prez
There hasn’t been a sliver of healthy food coming from any of my kids’ school cafeterias. Government approved nutrition is the reason for the volume of obese people in our society, not a solution against it.
I find it interesting the “conservatives” always want to shoot the messenger, who points a finger at their current gluttony. In my high school a friend was one of the very few “overweight” kids and his nickname was “Bubbles”. Today, 50 years later, a kid at what should be “normal healthy weight” is the “skinny” one.
As to food poisoning- we packed lunches and never got sick. A lot of the stuff kids pack today that make them sick isn’t the salmonella, but the chemical additives, in fact near total composition, of the “food” they’re eating! Telling folks to eat smart for their own good isn’t “Communism”, but simple common sense- almost totally lacking today in America.
In my day school lunches were about as healthy as a trip to the burger joint, but with less taste. Fries, tacos, burgers, rubbery pizzas, breaded pork and chicken patties that tasted the same and et cetera. Remember when Reagan wanted to declare catchup a vegetable for school lunch purposes? Jamie Oliver was raking up this muck in Britain years ago. It’s long past time someone did something about it over here.

Some schools have actually outlawed kids bringing lunch from home. Tyranny 101 people. Start small, then grow…

Swirly, she “packs” a Glock .45? She seems to have a lock on stupid, so, yes, “conservative”.
