One thing I’ve learned from years of watching Hammer horror films…if something is scritching at the door, don’t let it in!

And here I always thought dogs were fearless, the way they investigate scary sounds and dark corners. Turns out they’re just motivated by the potential for treats!

Sophie, hopefully you’ll learn one of these days that anyone/thing scritching at the door will not have a a treat.

I would say more likely a trick than a treat awaits.

@ StelBel: we had a beagle who could sleep through anything, including being called by name. Raise the cover of the butter keeper in the refrigerator door, though, and there he was. (He got to lick the butter paper!)

Scritching sounds are not good. Just ask any teen in a slasher movie.

Sritching is creepy. Sophie, I’m surprised at you. I hope you survive this one.
