Cats already have a bad name with me. And Scratch is the ugliest of them all.

Has anyone noticed that Scratch:(a) walks upright.(b) is the height of a man© talks.(d) is purpleThe secret of this strip’s success is that it is so crazy.

let’s not forget (h) little triangles all over his body and that everyone seems to have permanently closed eyes.

Yeah, how could something as big as Scratch survive eating something as little as those mice? And the strip doesn’t say “continued.” Does that mean we’re moving on?

I suppose you never seen the rabbits standing upright and talking and big as a man???

Wow, Jonas, big talk from a little rodent. If you didn’t have the dogs and the pirates on your side (oh and the crazy contraptions that Chip draws for you), then you’d be toast.

This strip seems out of order, there is no “continue”. It doesn’t really match with yesterday.

The triangles are because he is a Tabby cat, Our cat is tabby and I can see the triangles on him, well sort of.

He should go over to Pinkerton Park. They would let him eat the mouse there.

Nice catch, lenny. Tabbies were the choice for sailors long ago to keep down the disease infestations caused by “cute” mice. Our mutant X-Cat hero Scratch seems to have come from that long honorable line.

As for Scratch’s purpleness, see also Arlo and Janis’ cat (whose name I forget until 5 minutes too late).

Did anyone notice that in the 1st panel the Captain is to the left of Scratch & then to the right in the the other 2 panels ? Also Jonas is on a different counter in the 1st 2 panels

I just love that bravado spirit of Jonas. A totally cool mouse if there ever was one!
