@ladyfingers86, as a manager at McDonald’s, I would like to say that you are absolutely right—in fact, I do more gross jobs than my crew! :)

Is that why the order takers at fast food restaurants always have dirt under their finger nails??

The flies are flying around his head. At first, I thought the circles indicated a hangover from his party.

My daughter worked at McDonald’s for 3 years while she was going to school.. Wonder how many filthy, smelly, greasy uniforms I washed?? But I was so proud of her for “sticking it out” that I didn’t mind. Sending positive thoughts for Kab Buch’s mother.

My sister and hubby will join a little later. Thank you all. Will be a long day. Surgery starts at 7am. We leave my mom’s house at 4:30am. What is unknown now is rather there will be treatment for the cancer. My daughter worked at McDonald’s for two or three weeks. When management calls a worker not great. She did not like it not push enough to sale products. My adult son did for one day. Schedule not renewed. Hope to see all maybe Saturday depends on how well my mom can get around. She is 86 and fairly good health. I can’t believe have to get up at 4am. Leave house at 4:15 am.

to kab buch (I have forgotten how to get those hearts!) all the blessings and best wishes for your mother. what I always tell people: “think peaceful thoughts”. you think healing thoughts to the part of her body that is ill and tell her to try to do the same – look at it this way – it can’t do any harm, and it could do some good – what she needs is to let her body work on healing, and not be disturbed by pain or worrying…disclaimer!!! i am very good at figuring out what other people ought to do, and telling them; but i am just as good at not being even slightly offended if they don’t take my advice. As my aunt used to say “I ask everybody’s advice, and then i go home and think it over, and i do whatever i think is best.”(this is going to look ridiculous if i have used the wrong code to get a blank line)1. if you want to read the comics for days you have missed, just go back using the calendar at the top of the screen, or the arrows. you will get all the comments too.2. this may be of interest, but i also drink a lot of Ensure when i just can’t cook, and i get the kind that has fibre.

so! that was the right code! i’ll do a substitution so you can see the code: replace the L by < and the G by >, and type out the following line:Lbr/GLbr/G

I worked at a hot dog place (not a chain) near my house when divorcing and my daughter was 1/2 day in kindergarten. The owner emptied the fry tanks every week and washed with real lye. He then replaced all fresh lard; we had the best fries in town by far! I dumped the pails of large potatoes into the tumbler by the pail full, ran it with water and abraisives then peeled, sliced and soaked them overnight. I also diced a gallon of onions every day etc. I had fun doing creative ads and flyers, but also did most of the cooking as well as ringing up the food – dogs with the very best pickles, tomatoes et al, great shakes and those fries. I was only there for one year but it was hughly popular while we stuck to the menu. He later tried to go kosher because of his friends there in Skokie and eventually closed (but I’d already left).
