So it looks like Id must be in what later became western China or the eastern part of Europe since they are on the outside of the Great Wall.

Quite right , Grog. We have cheapskate, anti-American businesses whom don’t like the idea of workers being anything close to equal to them. So no one wins except the Chinese until we are so unemployed we can’t buy even their shoddy communist slave labor products. Why don’t you and yours go back to a fiefdom where that thinking originated? God bless the ones who fought against that thinking and founded this country..

Kab:Typical stupid United States Government posters!! Portraying that the Revolutionary War was won by two guys beating on a drum and one guy playing a fife! They never heard of “the right of the people to keep and bear arms” (which shall NOT be infringed) — but which HAS BEEN infringed by every government SINCE the revolutionary one!Ah yes, the Fourth of July — when we get led around like bleating sheep to celebrate our “freedom”.I quit going to fireworks displays long ago because the Highway Patrol was such a !@#$%^& pain in the ass when I tried to get back home. I had to drive half way around the city because they had the three blocks route to home on the local public street all blocked off so people couldn’t go that way!A friend of mine from Czechoslovakia who came to the United States via South Africa said that the ‘cop hiding behind a billboard with a radar gun to trap you’ wasn’t anywhere near as bad in Czechoslovakia as it is here, and in South Africa, it didn’t exist at all!

From Federalist Paper Number 46, by James Madison:http://www.foundingfathers.info/federalistpapers/fed46.htm“Besides the advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation, the existence of subordinate governments, to which the people are attached, and by which the militia officers are appointed, forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition, more insurmountable than any which a simple government of any form can admit of. Notwithstanding the military establishments in the several kingdoms of Europe, which are carried as far as the public resources will bear, the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms. And it is not certain, that with this aid alone they would not be able to shake off their yokes. But were the people to possess the additional advantages of local governments chosen by themselves, who could collect the national will and direct the national force, and of officers appointed out of the militia, by these governments, and attached both to them and to the militia, it may be affirmed with the greatest assurance, that the throne of every tyranny in Europe would be speedily overturned in spite of the legions which surround it. Let us not insult the free and gallant citizens of America with the suspicion, that they would be less able to defend the rights of which they would be in actual possession, than the debased subjects of arbitrary power would be to rescue theirs from the hands of their oppressors. Let us rather no longer insult them with the supposition that they can ever reduce themselves to the necessity of making the experiment, by a blind and tame submission to the long train of insidious measures which must precede and produce it.”HA HA HA! Ever hear of the concept of “States Rights” — the ninth and tenth amendments to the United States Constitution?!! Welcome to the “blind and tame submission to the long train of insidious measures which must precede and produce it.” OR as Bush (who should have been impeached) said, “The Constitution is just a goddamn scrap of paper!”

“What country before ever existed a century & half without a rebellion? & what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. … The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. It is its natural manure.” - Thomas Jefferson ( You’ll find that here http://www.let.rug.nl/usa/P/tj3/writings/brf/jefl64.htm ) ( You WON’T find that in the American press!!! Ever since Bush, THEY are too busy kissing the arse of the government!! It takes the Netherlands (note the “nl” in the URL) to preserve the spirit of freedom, for the SHEEP in the United States!!

“They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” — Benjamin FranklinHand that to your government’s TSA gestapo the next time you want to get on an airplane and see how much “freedom” you have!!OR as a friend of mine got told at a German airport: “Don’t blame US, it’s YOUR government’s stupid rules!!” It seems to me that he couldn’t bring a box of chocolates back on the airplane because they ‘might have dynamite hidden in the chocolates’, or some stupid thing like that!!!
