ZING!!And all those “welfare frauds” that Reagan used to love to talk about (you know, the ones who pick up their welfare checks in Cadillacs) and that the GOP still does? Trivial. Connecticut spent more money identifying welfare frauds than they were taking! And actually, this cartoon is being nice. It’s assuming that the GOP really does care about voter fraud instead of what it is more likely doing: disenfranchising potentially Democratic voters.

The GOP uses “voter fraud” as a smokescreen for their voter suppression efforts. The elderly, minorities, college students, and poor people are not “collateral damage” — they are the intended targets.

The “reform” bill in my state would require ID with a home address within the district you’re attempting to vote. How many college kids or nursing home residents have updated ID? Not to mention that having to add the cost of providing ID to those who do not have updated drivers licenses is estimated to ADD $50 million to the very state budget the “reform” sponsors are also trying to SLASH.
