When’s American Idle on?

The reason parents want year-round schools.

Sounds like dad worked two jobs to get away from home.

I wonder where children were left during the war, back when men were gone and women worked in factories…

A big cause of this is paranoia. The constant fear that the child won’t be challenged enough, won’t be the smartest kid around, won’t make it big years from now.

^^What an odd declaration about retiring to Florida. Bruce sure seems to be leading an active and fulfilled life down in the Sunshine State. An aberration, Ch555?

Ya, there are laws against that. Think before you type.

Pay no attention to those who clearly make excuses for their lousy parenting.

My mom practically had to raise my sister’s two boys. Old women can’t keep up with raising young children. she wa their grandmother, but it’s their mother they needed.

Kids themselves have become a way to show off social rank. “I can afford to put my precious little boy in the hockey team, you can’t. I can afford ballet for my three year old daughter, you can’t. I’m richer than you. My kid has a better chance in life. I’m a better parent than you.”

And don’t forget parents who put their kids there for them to realize their broken dreams!

How would you know what humor is, let alone if I have any? You’re a liberal.

I suppose they drove themselves to pre-school and to play dates? Or were they alredy in college by then?

Stay-at-home mom’s were the norm back in the 1950’s and 1960’s. Few women worked outside the home. In my neighborhood, maybe two of the mom’s worked.
