Holly had better pray that the extended-school (see yesterday’s strip) and summer-school schedules don’t overlap.
(note: you cannot rely on school-system admins to ensure that, as they are much like the many teachers who think that theirs is the only class in which student is enrolled).

Better summer school than the piles of homework I get every summer. And I usually get 7s and 8s..

I’m glad I never went to summer school. It was always 3 months of summer fun, sleeping late and then playing outside all day. And getting to stay up late at night.

Holly is smarter than you think. She knew Joan and Val had planned her summer to revolve around changing Luci’s diapers and dealing with the ADHD Poster Child. Faced with that, I’d get myself flagged for summer school too! In fact I’d be begging my teachers to send me to summer school
