Joan: Wally? I need your help. Wally: Sure! Should I get my toolbox? Joan: No... no... I'm cleaning out my closet and I can't decide if I should keep these pants... they're wool... the color works with all my jackets... but do the pleats date them? Maybe if I shortened them and added a cuff... or is it hopeless and I should just give them away...? The towel rack in the bathroom is loose. Wally: Great! I'll get my toolbox!!

Whatever the subject you are at sea about, it’s best to let them lay out all the pros and cons for you, then vote for the last thing they say. In this case, Wally should say, “I think you should give them away.”
