I don’t know about immature, but it’s certainly not one of his better comics.

If earth can’t solve it’s problems with all the water it has, that little bit on the moon ain’t gonna help!

Actually one of the better observations of recent events. The reason they’re looking for water, and life potential, on Io, the moon, and “rest areas” on the way to space, is that we’re burning our bridges on this little blue marble.

Senor- ever notice how when an environmentalist suggests humans might just “keep it in their pants” for the good of humanity, all the “righties” come unglued because their absurd levels of reproduction might be threatened; but when Tiger (or any other celebrity or athlete) can’t keep it in his pants- he’s an “evil dude” and must be deprived of livelihood, and condemnation rules?

Only conservatives cling to and claim to respect religion and then compare things to religions as a form of insult.

The most worthwhile lesson gleaned from ALL “religions” is summed up in four words: DO NOT SCEW UP!

actually, with christianity it’s more like “it’s ok to do horrible things, as long as you’re sorry afterwards”

^Yes, Please, keep your_ fantasies to yourself… I know positive re-inforcement works for you natural men; but, it actually has no effect on the Truth, which is eternal and unchanging.

CF/DrC: Yeah, I recall once having an argument with a few people about atheism where some article had described something an atheist organisation had done as “with equal religious zeal” and since it was an organisation, it therefore qualified as an “organised religion”. They then provided a dictionary definition (see below) as their source. So, by applying the 4th definition below, they justified their reasoning. :-|

    re·li·gion (rĭ-lĭj’ən) n.

    a. Belief in and reverence for a supernatural power or powers regarded as creator and governor of the universe. b. A personal or institutionalized system grounded in such belief and worship. The life or condition of a person in a religious order. A set of beliefs, values, and practices based on the teachings of a spiritual leader. A cause, principle, or activity pursued with zeal or conscientious devotion.

So, an idiomatic expression said so, it must be true, :-|

ahab, I had to laugh at the memory of my very young nephew refusing to heed my warning to stay away from a cliff edge. When he tumbled down the slope, through the cholla, he was learning a painful lesson, especially in the hours it took to pull the spines out. That was in Arizona, but I spent about 40 years in the field, much like fennec, and apparently you also, and yes Bruce, never judge a book, or human, by their cover!

And yes, those years of field research and observation DO play a larger role in my comment on the toon than listening to “politically inspired” drivel in the media.

Ahab, know about rock show folks too. The “upsetting” thing is that I can’t find any of my “old haunts” that have NOT seen moderate to drastic changes in the environment. From southern California to Florida, Viet Nam, Arizona, Colorado, Yellowstone country, Yosemite, and even in my “back yard” across Oregon, major changes are happening in vegetation, then there’s the critters- passerines (DRASTIC DECLINES), raptors, reptiles, mammals- large and small, even insects such as butterflies, this is in one human lifetime, not millennia, or even centuries. Anyone not nervous about it is insane…

Actually on the cartoon, this should be interesting to find out what kind of water(liquid) is on the moon, and how much is there. For years it was viewed as being a big ball of ash.

It was also once thought of as a big ball of cheese. Look up some of the myths surrounding the moon. It’s… um… interesting.
