Building that “economy” without cleaning up our act, it’s called “deregulation” has been giving us BACK these same stream, and well, drinking water problems, and that little slick, er, slip, in the Gulf. Taking a little care to keep the fish alive is a better, and longer-lived economy, and ecology.
That there is no “guy with a beard” in our image is lost on folks ready to destroy this one, for a future one that doesn’t exist either. That the true “power” of the universes IS in everything, including us, and is NOT definable or “knowable”, but achievable. This confuses folks hung up on, and clinging to, symbols, humans to worship, and graven images, even though a basic tenet of their faith says that is “sin”.
And, Doc, if more “Christians” actually acted “Christian”- we’d be better off. But then, that applies to almost every religion men have invented for themselves. Funny how they also make women “second best”.
DrCanuck………..your “Studyintg His works” statement is the flaw in your doctrine. Believing that the bible is the word of God is just that….a belief. Most people who believe something is true is because they want it to be true. The only thing I know at this time about the bible is that it is the word of man. So, you are free to believe anything you want…..BUT it’s just that, a belief, and anybody can believe anything.
One more thing, remember that belief in a “Creater”, God if you will, is instinctive in man…we are born with believing there is a higher power. However, belief in Jesus Christ is taught.

Build a man a fire and you keep his warm for a few hours; set a man on fire and you keep him warm for the rest of his life.

What’s going on GoComics? You’re more like WentComics. Your pages are turning up blank save for comments. First Toles, and now Bennet…

Offshore fishing is good…if regulated…to prevent overfishing of fish stocks, like has happened in the Chesapeake Bay area.

DrCanuck…….I agree with examining empirical evidence for………anything. The goal is to know, to attain knowledge, not just believe.
