NAZI is short for National Socialist.

    Who are the socialists?

Look at the video of the protesters. They have a slash through the swastika.

Wolf - the Nazi’s weren’t socialists. They called themselves socialists because the term had great connotations in the 1920s. There’s a slash through the swastika because they’re calling Obama a Nazi.

I remember conservatives screaming about being called Nazis during Dubya’s term, just because they were glorifying the military, demonizing people of a different faith and claiming that any one who disagreed with the president’s foreign policy must be a traitor. If Nazi analogies were morally wrong then, what makes them okay now?

And of course, you wouldn’t know it by paying attention to the main stream media, but the only ones who are comparing obama to hitler and his healthcare reform to nazism are the followers of Lindon LaRouche. And that is because they are upset obama is not pushing single payer out loud!

Oh and I suppose you forgot the last 8 years of protests from the ever tolerant left. Say, who was Bush compared to most?

And anyway, what team has caused all of the violence at the town halls? Who is busing in union members? What president wants the people who oppose his plan to stop talking and get out of the way? Which administration came up with flag@whitehouse.gov? And what political ideology is ok with that?

    Pathetic.

So Pelosi calling protesters Nazis because someone saw swastikas in the crowd is OK then? And the sign with a swastika and a slash through it was meant to say that anything in the Federal health bill that resembled Germany’s attempt in the 30’s and early 40’s to control the population by choosing who should live based on age and mental health was evil.

But there is nothing in any bill that resembles Nazi Germany’s policies! How long until you people quit listening to the morons who are feeding you these lies?

And Spectreman, what the hell is wrong with a central email address to which we can send the false information so that it can be answered? Are you seriously frightened that the Obama administration is collecting email addresses of “bad guys”? Seriously? Do you realize how much you sound like a nutty conspiracy theorist?

At last Copperdomebodhi has spoken a partial truth. We were not shouting NAZI. We were taken over by fascists. Look it up in the dictionary. Bush-Chaney was a government for, by, and of the corporations!!

“Say, who was Bush compared to most?”

There were some extreme cases that went that far, yes. They were wrong. As is Limbaugh, and anyone else who calls Obama a nazi.

And you know what, Spectreman? The exact same people who now fling about Nazi comparisons were those that wailed the loudest some people dared call Bush names. Double standards, like idiotic exaggerations, are wrong no matter who does them.

Well golly and gosh darn…If ANandy says Danziger is lying, then he must be lying.

I mean, sure, he hasn’t provided a single example to back up his argument, but if ANandy says it, then it MUST be true.

Why….well, coz he’s ANandy! Don’t you get it?

”…But there is nothing in any bill that resembles Nazi Germany’s policies! How long until you people quit listening to the morons who are feeding you these lies? ….”

Sadly, I’ll quote as an answer

“…that in the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying. …”

Hitler had the support of the people. That’s all he needed. Mr. O. has the same huge support. We can’t afford all these programs, is all I am saying. Not that they may not be good, if good people write them. When I can’t pay the bill for something, I can’t buy it. No money for the show, stay home. I am a lower middle class conservative.

How come we can’t afford health care reform, before the health insurance companies bankrupt the country, BUT we could afford Bush’s wars? If more people are insured it will cost everyone less. I have Medicare and Social Secuity and a tiny pension - after raising 3 children alone, (not by choice) I would be on welfare or dead without those programs and they are “government run”. I bet all the big corporations and health care industries are laughing about how all these screamers at the town halls are doing the job of trying to kill health care reform for them. And scaring people with terms like nazi, socialist, communist etc by ignorant people who don’t even know what those things mean is awful. Unfortunately there are enough people who can’t think for themselves who believe all the lies. That’s scary to me.

I’m not finding much about people LISTENING to Rush (least of all Danziger). Also not much about what he was responding to, which was Pelosi’s comments about swastikas. I’ve noticed that it’s easiest for MSM to beat up on Rush when a rebuttal takes more than a soundbyte, maybe cuz they know there are so many people out there who can’t take in more than a soundbyte. Phony soldiers, Michael J. Fox, hoping Obama fails - all these take some time to understand. So try listening, w/ an open mind, and go ahead and check his facts -THEN come back here and trash him.

Hey sclark55, I actually did listen to Limbaugh for almost two years. Atlanta’s NPR affiliate station starts playing classical music at 9 and doesn’t stop until 3. Frequently, I am commuting during those hours, and I don’t like listening to music. So I listened to Limbaugh and Beck. So I know what I’m talking about. (I’ve since gotten an iPod and can now listen to intelligent talk radio like the Diane Rehm Show.)

How many ways must you contort the truth in order to make Limbaugh seem remotely like a defensible truth-teller?

As for the alleged Pelosi swastika comment, I’ll repost from another page:

Hang on, churchillwasright. Are you saying that Pelosi should receive flack for her unquestioned observation of the fact that protesters were carrying swastikas to events? And you’re sore that the media hasn’t picked up on this?

Dude, she was clearly attempting to emphasize the unreasonableness of the people who were making fallacious comparisons of their congressmen and president to Nazis. You really jumped from this obvious interpretation to the notion that she was somehow comparing the protesters to Nazis? Ha!

I respect a conservative who argues policy with the president honestly and frankly. In fact, I believe we deeply need such conservatives, and there are many of them.

But Limbaugh (and Beck, for that matter) is not that kind of conservative. Instead, he is a hate-filled bellicose jerk.

This is the pot calling the kettle black.

Who was it that said that these people standing up and speaking out against Obamacare in these town halls and outright saying that these people carried Swastikas around and were “un-American”? Last I checked the swastika was the symbol of the Nazi party…so she is essentially doing the same thing as Rush but to a different group of people.

Republicans and Democrats alike have used the “unAmerican” argument against those who do not agree with them…Nancy Pelosi most recently.

Last I checked dissent is as American as it gets. Not everyone is going to agree on things and our founding fathers knew this. This is why they designed our government the way they did and set the boundaries for our government the way they did…boundaries that our government has gladly and shamelessly overstepped.

I think it is absolutely cowardly of the White House, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid to attack those who oppose this healthcare reform. Instead of encouraging debate and addressing these concerns directly in order to settle the issue they have instead launched personal attacks against these people who DARE disagree with their Holy Decree.

    What arrogance!
