Blue Boy Basset reminds me of a friend. Long face, big nose, despondent look.

Dennis! I didn’t know you knew Larry too!

    Ooops…. I mean…um…. John…. that’s it… John….

cos I’d NEVER say someone’s real name on the internet.

    (Sorry, Larry… really.

    Oops…. I mean… John…)

BTW, thanks for your comment yesterday…..

and Nighthawks, thanks to you, too, for finding a nice word for it.

I’ll take “tenacious”… since some call it “obsessive.”

As for Blue Basset and Pinkie Paws…

    So lovely, aren’t they?

Blue Basset was very very popular, and in time-adjusted dollars, was one of the highest-priced dog paintings ever sold at auction.

Seeing them together, many dogs and people think the two paintings were done by the same artist.

But no… though they share the same first name,

Blue Basset was painted by Tommy Gainesburger,

and Pinkie Paws by Tommy Labrador.

I were enchanted by their beauty…

    that be it… t’were enchantment.

That be me tale, and I be standin’ by her.

    An’ they do sayeth:

“Even though there’s no legal rank on a pirate ship, everyone recognizes you’re the one in charge. Like the rock flint, you’re hard and sharp. But, also like flint, you’re easily chipped, and sparky. Arr! "

Tho I know me not whither ta trust such as speak sa pretty.
