Hey, I didn’t know that the press was biased back then, I mean isn’t the New York Times “The Paper of Record”? Oh dear, the things one reads in the papers these days, my goodness, I’m having an attack of the vapors!
@ Wildcard – That was my first thought too. Of course journalists have a bible – the AP Style Guide! Mind you, they won’t have very many copies and they aren’t nearly so heavy.
But maybe they still have a hot type machine in the basement – that would leave a mark!
