In this day and age do Local Blackouts make any sense ?

Watching on TV is not a spectacle. You only get that at the track.

Oh, what a tragedy!

Seems fair.. the hockey crowd has suffered this forever.

I would go, if I wasn’t allergic to the sun.

Noise and boredom at the track. Stay home and enjoy a PBR and the backyard.

Why? What’s happening with central Indiana?

I watched sports for about 50 years. Not anymore.

I find watching cars run in a circle totally boring.

While I’m generally against sports blackouts as I consider it a monopolistic practice, I really don’t much care.

In 1980 I went to the Indy 500 time trials on a business trip. I wonder if they have upgraded their men’s bathroom facilities since then. I recall about a 100 ft long narrow room with a trough for peeing in on one side, and on the other side a very long wooden bench with holes cut into it about every 3 feet for #2. No walls or stalls, zero privacy.

I will miss watching cars go round and round and round in a circle for hours, just like I do every year.

I thought the rule was that if it was sold out 24 hours before the event it automatically went on TV
