The same cartoon could just as well depict the Dubya Bush administration after 9/11, with the participants offering somewhat different excuses. Some things don’t change with time or geography.

What I do remember about Dubya Bush and the lead up to 9/11 is that in Florida he shut down all the IT cyber security functions and then when someone tried to tell him about the “pilots who were not learning how to land” he said finding the missing W keys on the keyboards in the White House was more important. I’m kidding about he keyboards of course!! But they were clueless about IT and cyber security – especially since Bill had foresight and had created the function (gasp) it was unnecessary.
