We all need to keep what happened straight. Of the people who sailed on paragliders into the kibbitzes on October 7 and systematically murdered children while their mothers were forced to watch and barbecued babies in ovens, not one was anything but a Palestinian. Palestinians are sympathetic to these atrocities, just as Palistinians danced in the streets after the airplanes hit the twin towers on 9/11. Had the Palestinians chosen not to commit these crimes against humanity, they would now be living in peace. They can choose to stop their suffering anytime they wish, just by releasing their hostages.
U.S. aircraft is not attacking Palestine in any way at all. The funding and arms the U.S. provides to Israel are by Law made by congress since 1948 for Israeli’s defense. Netanyahu is misusing those weapons and funding, not the U.S. or Biden. The last guy that broke the law by holding up weapons and funding made by Law in congress for Ukraine was impeached for it.
I can’t imagine what Hamas was thinking when they attacked on Oct 7. How did they expect Israel to react? Did they think they would just run amok for a day and that would be it?
Without being the enemy of one side or the other, I think Hamas got played for fools. The Russians wanted to distract from the Ukraine invasion so they made some kind of stupid promises. Hamas couldn’t win and would get a lot of their own people killed. This was clear right from the start.
Just a note that as much as I hate Biden for his unconditional support of Israel’s genocidal policies, at least there exists a possibility to gradually reform the Democratic party, as a part of its representatives seem to have consciences, and a big majority of their voters oppose supplying Israel with weapons, whereas none of the Republican representatives seem to have any trace of genuine conscience, and if Donald Trump is elected there is also a very big chance that the United States will become a full-blown dictatorship with no takebacks.
