Yes, it IS tiresome and tiring. And utterly necessary. And we need to do at least a little more on top: Fix the underlying problems that keep throwing up fascists and cult leaders. And since that’s impossibly huge, just pick one or two really bad ones and work on those. Intensely. While voting against the current fascists.
The only person around here that I see effectively caving to trumpster fire is Ted with his “OBJECTIVITY.”……………………My group has a beloved friend in it, who’s also an unrealistic idealist. The joke in the group is he lives in “Toog’s World,” Toog being his nickname…………………………..“TED’S WORLD.”…………………..“Toog” is not my buddy’s real nickname.
That is the goal of the republiCONS and trump. To keep the chaos going for so long that as many people as possible are exhausted fighting it and just give up. Trump supporters will crawl naked over broken glass to vote for trump. Will Biden’s? (I hope so but I am not optimistic.)
I’m trying to figure out how people who say they’re sick of being told, “This is the most important election in our lifetime” every 2 to 4 years, will deal with the task of making sure the new regime brought in by general strikes & street agitation will not turn out like Napoleon or Stalin. Maybe Scott & Ted can have one of the Krassensteins on the pod to talk about it.
Mr. Rall you forgot to mention the fact that what the people are tired of is what a mess 3 years of Biden has made the country. Border crisis? Just reinstitute all the measures of Trump that BIDEN removed as soon as he was in office. And BUILD the ding dang wall.
‘Utterly ridiculous’: Biden DOJ aims to bypass Congress to renew spying power
Privacy advocates responded with outrage Thursday to news that the Biden administration has decided to pursue a year-long extension of warrantless spying authority in court rather than working with Congress to enact reforms that are popular across party lines.
Americans have forgotten how exhausted they were after four years of Trump’s chaos. Waking up wondering what international agreement he pulled the US out of, what was Trumps latest crazy tweet.
Man, I was just thinking this morning about how my entire adult life has been Democrats refusing to fight for anything, ceding every issue to republicans (or co-opting republican plans and taking credit for them), and just plain chasing republican votes at every turn.
And then they have the nerve to turn around and pretend they’re the ones actually fighting for “we, the people”, unlike those other — i.e. actually left wing — people putting in the work to try keeping them on the proper path. When, in reality, they’d much prefer “a strong Republican Party” instead of actually doing things people want them to do.
Strange to blame some (i.e. younger voters) for insufficient effort to resist Trump while also urging them (in other strips) to vote for a third party candidate which in 2024 would only benefit Trump.
I do like the “Chateau Collaborator 1943” bottle, even though it runs counter to the message. Or, perhaps, it is because that’s where they’re (we’re) headed.

You have fascism now Ted. The potato ignores congress and the SC and continues to shift loan debt to the tax payer.

This comic captures the American electorate PRECISELY. Trump is wearing them down to the point of non-resistance. (And, perhaps, note voting.)

I’d vote for Biden from a gurney if I had to. Voting against him a third time is my goal.

The anti-tRumpsters are not tired or any of the rest at all. November will prove that fact.

Americans have a very, very short attention span and memory. This is why such people are successful.
