That’s what second childhoods are for.
How many times has Nancy’s full name been said? This is the first time I’ve seen it
Nancy was one of the strips I used to hone my newly found reading skill with in the Sunday comics, 65 years ago.
In 1933, Nancy Ritz, second grader, found a magic genie lamp on the beach, and wished…for just a little more time…to be a kid…
91 years later, and the results of this wish is still in effect, seemingly perpetually.
She looks so wistful there …

I had a friend when I was in high school, he was 17 and was driving to school – but he was still in 7th grade
She’s operating on at least a 4th grade level. she & her friends are too smart to be 2nd grade. Don’t they all have cell phones too? I can’t see giving a 2nd grader a cell phone in the Jaimes, Gilchrist or our universe.
Grow up. Or, don’t, actually.
Yeah, I don’t remember ever seeing her last name either
Nancy Ritz: glad she didn’t get a job in the Gasoline Alley strip.
I never knew she was a ritz kid.
Never realized they were second graders, felt like fourth or fifth graders to me even in the old strips.
