The water is polluted and the air is filled with deathSomeday it won’t be easy to stop and catch your breathBut it’s all in Revelation, it’s part of the designAnd if you’re truly wise you’ll keep your eyes on Palestine(Larry Norman)
Part of me wishes I’d live long enough to see the inevitable transition to blaming liberals by the usual suspects… nah; I’ll be content under my earth blanket
God, I LOVE this global warming stuff. Only TWO snowstorms, well SLUSHstorms actually. I’ve never had one snow lover show up at the house to clear the stuff away. Before kids lived on their $1000 iPhones they would come to shovel snow, but now they no longer can bother as they are on their phones!!! How they afford the 1 Grand is beyond me. I’m still trying to figure out the Mercedes and BMWs in the High School Parking Lots.
So true, instead of guilt tripping indolent youth about trekking through feet of snow to get to school (an actual real thing for those growing up in the suburbs or rural towns before people worried about their kids getting abducted), nowadays parents just feel guilty for making the world susceptible to extreme weather events for decades to come through their inaction and political obstinacy.
If the planet does go through a climatic upheaval, it will come out the other side in a new state of equilibrium. We may not like that state; we may not even be able to survive in it. But the planet will still be here.

Randall Munroe has an excellent graphic showing the evolution of the Earth’s temperature from 20,000 BC to the present day.

And now if there’s a skiff of snow on the ground school is either called off or on a two-hour delay.

With regard to our little “Frond”, a few words from Tommy J.:
. . . “let them stand undisturbed as monuments of the safety with which error of opinion may be tolerated, where reason is left free to combat it.”
I’m accompanying my daughter and granddaughters for a visit to Tommy’s place over their spring break from school in a couple of weeks.

Thanks to Mr. Rall for his cogent, word-sparing clarity in explaining climate weirdness.
It should be required reading for all climate-change deniers in Congress. Or maybe someone should read it to them.

The good news is we’re going to turn Antarctica into a tropical paradise.

The bad news is that only Elon Musk’s grandchildren will be able to afford to live there.
