Hold your horses, girl.

Let your dogs sniff, at least a little bit. It makes the walk enjoyable for them.

That was mean to Sophie.

I was walking with Jud, my Australian Shepard mix (now sadly passed) when we encountered two dead squirrels entwined in each other, as if they died fighting. I let him sniff, but didn’t want him to get too close. I viewed the scene as a metaphor for our times. Red Oni vs blue Oni.

I was dog sitting for a friend who needed a break due to Chemo. With a house full I was having a super busy day when I asked this youth who was getting underfoot to take the dog around the block. They were back in record time when I commented, “That was quick!” To which he replied, “Yea. Dumb dog kept trying to stop!” (◔◡◔)

Sophie: “Haven’t you heard the phrase stop and smell the roses?”

I was walking Loaner Dog one day and she was so busy sniffing she walked into the street lighting post. BONK. She wasn’t fazed. Kept on sniffing.
