I have a pair of jeans in my closet since last Spring; when I lose ten pounds they’ll fit! Of course then, all my other pants will be too loose, so, shopping again…sigh!
My purchases were large necessities that I would have happily avoided – components to keep the HVAC running is critical here and two working toilets also critical. (One toilet was over 25 years old and the other one was original to house so its age was 78.)
I’m not happy about the check I get to write later to the IRS. My estimate is far less than the “experts” . It’s a big day – extension done and it marks the first time I’ve had to pay taxes to the feds in my 21st year of retirement.
