When I was a kid, there was a news segment that was part of the Saturday Morning Cartoon lineup. I think it was required by the FCC (I know – that evil pre-Reagan Government keeping people informed). It was called “In the News, sponsored by Mattel.” Something like that might be a good idea again.
I watched the news as a kid all the time… let me know what was going on in the world, didn’t put me in an insular bubble.
Adults who were mollycoddled as a kid keep ranting about “how much worse things are today” simply because they were sheltered from and oblivious about how bad things were when they were young.
I remember seeing news about the conflict in Gaza, but back in the day it was the PLO, not Hamas. I remember the Iran Iraq war, which seemed like it would never end. I remember the news going on about out of control inflation that makes today’s inflation look like child’s play.
The world has always been a scary place, but for those who grew up sheltered… it seems like something new.
Quite right. Anybody with a brain that see’s Biden mumbling and stumbling about ought to be scared that your safety is dependent upon him, as the Commander and Chief. YIKES!
Does anyone really believe that if Iran sent a nuke to blow up in downtown New York, Biden would do anything? He’s the appeaser in chief. We need a leader who is not afraid to confront the bad guys worldwide.
