We have four cats. Their litter boxes need to be cleaned regularly but it doesn’t take that much time. You can do it before or after an event. Dean’s just lazy but he should remember that it is his pet.
Try getting together five grown adults to play d&d! My old group of high school friends started playing together virtually during the pandemic and have been returning to our home town to play since restrictions eased. We end up getting together once every two months! But that’s six times a year more than we used to see each other, so it’s well worth it.
