Excellent ’toon — House Republicans have as much reason to hold Joe Biden responsible for the actions of his son as they do to impeach him over his dog. (At least President Joe does own the dog.)

As House Republicans drive the United States towards a catastrophic shutdown (there have been a total of five government shutdowns for failure to pass a budget or continuing resolution, and all five were when Republicans held a majority in the House), what are Republicans spending their time on?

Keeping the government running? Don’t be silly!

They are holding hearings on impeaching Joe Biden! And they still haven’t even figured out what he did wrong! Their first order of business? Just trying to figure out something with which to charge him. Witnesses? So far, they have not found a single witness with first-hand knowledge of any wrongdoing by Joe Biden.

The four witnesses the REPUBLICANS called today? Not a single one was a “fact” witness. Not a single one had direct involvement with Joe Biden, Hunter Biden or any aspect of the case. And to make it worse for Republicans — ALL FOUR of their own witnesses, the ones THEY CALLED — all stated that they had seen no basis for articles of impeachment.

In the meantime, Republicans continued to demonstrate their total contempt for our men and women in uniform, who will have to work without paychecks, as well as all those Border Patrol agents that they demand keep the border closed while working unpaid (after Trump and other Republicans LIED and invited an invasion of migrants when they advertised that Joe Biden was allowing open borders, which he wasn’t).

(sort). That is about the level of reality they’re dealing with.

Shame there’s no consequences for making false accusations. Make them resign their office when found out.

Instead of negotiating a deal to fund the government, Matt Gaetz and Kevin McCarthy got into a heated exchange during a closed-doors meeting with House Republicans; instead of negotiating a deal to fund the government, House Republicans held their first impeachment inquiry hearing into Biden; instead of negotiating a deal to fund the government, the Senate adopted a resolution formally requiring men to wear a coat, tie, and pants.

Next time doggy barks for a biscuit, give him a biscuit.

I mean think about it, what did we learn today, Steve? It was impeachment 48 of President Trump! They turned the whole thing into photographs of Ivanka, photographs of Jared!”

Chair of the committee, GQP-er James Comer of Kentucky says Commander will be the new, new star witness for their new, new impeachment of the century.

When well socialized dogs don’t like someone, listen to the dog.

Responsible dog owners train, or have their dogs trained, so they don’t bite people. If Biden is an irresponsible dog owner, how can he be a responsible President? Having said that, I’ll take Biden every day of the week before I’d ever vote for Trump.

That makes as much sense as anything else they do.
