He’s walked it back. (I had to duckduckgo “David Brooks” to find out who he is).

David Brooks: high flown rubbish.

Even if you don’t know him, you’ll know someone like him, probably more than one.

Except that David Brooks’ bill consisted of 80% alcohol (numerous $20 whiskies).

Brooks is the type who sends the pitchforks and torches crowd to the streets at night looking for targets of their anger and hate.

A friend went to the State Fair and complained that Corn Dogs were $9.00 each. Someone logged on and blamed Biden.

He had to drink that high octane alcohol to let his screed flow through his keyboard more efficiently.

That $1,600 LaTour was much less before former guy put 25% tariffs on all French wines.

As a regular reader of the NYT I am familiar with Mr. Brooks. I feel that Jen is right on target, as usual.

Yeah, go spend more than most people’s house payment for “fine dining” and complain.

After we send our tax dollars in a farm bill to farmers who hate socialism we need to start thinking about subsidizing the distilleries

First, everybody knows airport food is a ripoff, and it’s been that way since approximately the time of the Wright Brothers.

Second, if you’re going to spend $60 on fancy drinks, that’s not the restaurant’s fault.

For all of you who think that Biden spending is causing inflation . . . Most of the spending you’re complaining about was signed into law by Donald Trump. Future spending does not cause current inflation.

Brooks apologized on-air for that X (Tweet) on PBS Newshour two weeks ago. The man I see on that show every Friday night is nowhere like the man you all describe here. Are his NYT op pieces by an alt-persona? Any business that sells to a captured audience pads the check. I just paid $15 for a grilled sausage at the local fair last week. Put it down to “the experience” or bring your own food. What would it cost for the popcorn in that bucket you bought at the movies? (If you still go to the movies.)
