    My little brother and I had a small chihuahua mix as kids. At night, the silly thing would get up on his bed and wiggle its way down to the foot of the bed and sleep there all night. I don’t know how the pup kept from suffocating, but he lived about 12 years after we got him; until he picked a fight with a Rhodesian Ridgeback…

    He should just tunnel up between them and enjoy the mutual heating from their bodies. I’ve read that the average human radiates 100 Watts of heat at rest.

    If you live “Out in the Country” and it gets cold, you let a dog sleep at the foot of the bed to keep you warm. If it is really cold, it is a 2 dog night. And if it is bitterly cold, why everybody knows that’s a Three Dog Night". (Youngsters can skip this as you won’t figure it out. Older folks know about Three Dog Night and Out in the Country or Eli’s Coming and many others.)b
