Meanwhile the airwaves are full of advertising from Duke power about what nice people they are “Paid for by Duke Shareholders” My A$$ That is your power bills paying to put a smile face on destroying the planet.

I am a little put out. Although the value of my XOM stock doubled in the last two years, I haven’t had a dividend increase in over a year!

Yeah… Too bad there is such a thing as empathy or humanity or laws, because then you could just shoot them.

Regardless of one’s cause, gluing yourself to a fixed object like a building is idiotic. As idiotic as looting and setting one’s city on fire in protest.

You do have a point about the message being lost in the method used to promote it. Political theater has its limitations, and its own stupidity.

Oh Mike! If you blaspheme the Church of Climate Change religion, you make them angry! Their faith is in the people who tell them the world is going to end in 10, 20, or 30 years if we don’t make people quit driving ICE and buy a $80,000 EVs!

Back in the day, in the years when I was active in the protest politics of the left, I would argue against actions I thought were silly and counter-productive. If my arguments had any weight (sometimes the did, sometimes they didn’t) it was I had earned some credibility in the movement.

i suspect that anyone who opts to glue himself to the floor or anything else in the name of a cause is probably already set for a bit of discomfort. it’s dumb to protest by doing things that inconvenience others or cause damage, but it certainly does bring the climate change deniers out of the woodworks real quick…
