One of my closest friends – who passed in 2016 – was a serious parrothead. Thanks to him I developed a genuine appreciation of Buffett’s music.

I’m outliving too many people

He found his long-lost shaker of salt. Farewell, parrot head.

Drank a margarita in his honor yesterday. RIP.

He made it to his Labor Day weekend show (Come Monday.)

The LA Times obituary for Buffet had this comment from Buffet:

When asked by Rolling Stone in 2019 how he’d like to be remembered, he replied, “‘He had a good time and made a lot of people happy’ would be good.”

a great guy- never any scandals, no arrests, no foolish actions- and he was highly thought of- other wanna-bees should pay heed

This is my favorite of the memorial illustrations….captures the essence of Buffett.

Warren has not seen as much sun and, in all likelihood and using a liberal interpretation, he likely did not have as much fun as Jimmy. Die while I’m living, rather than live when I am dead.

It’s okay. I heard there are cheeseburgers in paradise, so it must be good.
