Yeah . . . I guess he should get up. I remember it’s always been a tradition at my school that on thefirst day of school, they always have hamburgers for lunch. I’ve always appreciated that tradition . .
His FIRST day of school? To me he looks older. Say 9 or 10 years old. That means he might be starting in Grade 5 and has already been going to school for 4 years!
The first day back is always the toughest, whether it’s for school after Summer break or for Adults, that first day back from a vacation and getting back to the work routine. Both are the same. Retirement for older individuals cures those events but has its own issues. As a senior l enjoy my job as a part-time college professor and l have s great routine for my free time, which includes my daily time to read and comment on the funnies. Best years ever…..
Often one of the first assignments when you start school they have you do an essay on how you spent your summer vacation. It’s then you realize you wasted 3 months doing nothing.
I usually looked forward to it when I was in elementary school, my mom built it up by buying new school clothes and supplies. Money was tight back then so it was really special to get new stuff.

Yep, the older you get, the more you value rest and relaxation.

I normally liked the first day of school, it was good to see classmate friends I hadn’t seen all summer.

But school is fun also. More girls. Maybe a new hot teacher. School is for learning. Yes!
