    They do that at the beach also. The Gulf Coast is littered after spring break and summer. We would have to pick up stuff all the time when we had house on Gulf.

    There was an ad in a magazine in London (UK) some years ago, featuring a cute doggie. It said humans fouled the pavement much more than the dog did. They weighed trash and dog droppings over a period of time, and discovered that the humans left many times the amount of trash that the dogs left. The conclusion was that the dogs don’t know any better, but the humans certainly should.

    at our recent shrine festival trash bins were thoughtfully placed out for festival visitors and people used them. unfortunately, nobody thought to empty the trash bins at the end of the day, so our local crows did there best to spread the trash around…
