Like the Shrinks fee???
Like my campagin promises.
Not remembering (at least certain things) can be a blessing.
If there’s an upside to Alzheimer’s it’s that you’re always meeting new people
“What other dungeon is so dark as one’s own heart! What jailer so inexorable as one’s self!” Nathaniel Hawthorne The House of the Seven Gables.
Eventually, you probably will; along with where you left your car keys, who that famous person was, and why you came into that room.
If you could only choose to forget things/events selectively, but alas, that is not how it works…..
Nobody goes to a psychiatrist to improve their memory. The whole process is to change your memories into a more tolerable form.
In fact, many people can agree with the line originated by Bob Seger, “Wish I didn’t know now what I didn’t know then.”
Just forget it!
If I could have a selective memory improvement, and just remember the good things.
Indeed!
