It’s not so much mental illness as it is a total lack of ethics.

Mass events over the past week have included guns, cars, and knives. Yet all you hear about is the guns. As if the weapon matters to the victims.

As one can see here and elsewhere, the denial among gun fetishists remains strong. The forces of reason must be like Lao Tzu’s water: Water is fluid, soft and yielding. But water will wear away rock, which is rigid and cannot yield. As a rule, whatever is fluid, soft and yielding will overcome whatever is rigid and hard.

I do cartoon talks for schools , clubs and civic groups, etc.Every so often, if I’ve had a cartoon recently published that includes a depiction of some type of firearm, someone in the audience will ask why I “draw guns wrong”.No one has ever asked why I draw cars " wrong" , or, let’s say, computers, houses …or people .And when I’m asked, it’s not because I’ve drawn a rifle barrel facing the wrong way, or a trigger pointing the wrong direction.Guns achieved a cult status in this country a very long time agothat fills a sick void, and we’re seeing the results.

Abbott cut $210 million from the Texas mental health budget and then says we need to do better with mental health. MTG blames it on evil. I guess an exorcism is in order. Just words again. Nothing will happen.
