A doghouse made out of bricks? Sounds like a plan.

Downtown Dayton, Ohio celebrated “Derby Day” with the 4th Annual Derby Day Weiner Dog Race for the benefit of the Humane Society of Greater Dayton. After the gates were opened, most of the dogs were more interested in making friends than racing, but one of them finally figured out.

Last Friday the local meteorologist was at a street event in Dayton reporting on what was then the “upcoming” race when a dachshund on a leash came running up to greet him. Of course I thought of dear Winky!

Poor Winky! I am sure the third little pig meant well but I doubt if the Big Bad Wolf is going to pay Winky a visit anytime soon! Anyhow, we know Winky and the housing plans are in good hands as long as Snow is around, looks like they are off to a good start!

I find the last panel quite fetching.

Snow is definitely wise.

I discovered this video last century. My ex-husband had food poisoning, so he stayed the night at my home where I had what he needed and I could watch him. As he slept, I was wide awake (and used to second shift). Eventually I watched MTV, and this video came on. This was the night I also saw a video of Primus’s Pork Soda album (I think it was Mr. Krinkle). It was surreal as well. Man, it was a night.

Don’t throw out all your sticks, Winky! What will you chase?

You don’t have to throw away those sticks, Winky, just because you can’t use them to build your new house. They have other uses.

Everyone is soooo cute in their hardhats.

Fortunately, they are not using sand.

Oh Winky, all that work collecting them, what a bummer!!! don’t throw them all away, there will be more playtime!!!
