eggs are still scarce in these parts thanks to avian flu that’s decimated poultry operations and at one point folks were lining up outside our local supermarket hours before opening time and sprinting to the egg section when the doors opened. the manager responded with announcements pleading with folks not to run in the store and finally stopped putting eggs out first thing in the morning. now, folks wander around in the store, waiting for eggs to appear on the shelf…
