I see Wallace starting to catch on in panel 3.

The Feral One is securely contained. Maybe they can keep him in there all the time. Keep getting bigger carriers as he grows ?

Wallace is only jealous that he didn’t think of it first. Or, he now knows Rose is going to pull the same trick.

…well, it’s a very nice looking blazer, so…at least can’t complain about that.

I still wear my father’s old Bavarian belted sports coat for hikes in the Fall and Spring. I’ve had it restored a couple of times over the years, but it never fails to draw compliments on the trail and in town. I bought a similar style from Orvis years ago, but it just wasn’t up to the longevity of the original. Even at 70 it’s one of the few times I dress like a grown-up.

You would think Wallace would be excited about blazing a trail.

Note Sterling’s position in panel one. Is he not able or unwilling to hike, or do they not trust him to be loose on a hike? (I’d bet the latter.)

Does anyone know the origin of the term blazer? Or is it lost in the past—my dictionary says 15th century.

Dad should tell his jokes to Rose. She’d appreciate them.
