Dems think only whites can be racist. Everyone else is just a victim.

Scott did punished himself as a rich white guy calling for segregation. He was free to speak his mind and others were free to react. No censorship.

The man who draws the Dilbert company was dropped by papers—not disciplined in any way except for newspapers not publishing his cartoons. They have the right to do that

Ok, I’m going to explain why you’re confused—maybe missed that week in American history class? What had been the Confederate states have continued to maintain as hostile an environment for Blacks as the federal government would let them get away with- right through to the present time. And, it is true that they voted (called the “solid south”) for the Democrats until the 1960s. The Dixiecrat branch of the party was formed in 1948, when Truman began desegregating the armed forces. They pretty much ceased to exist when LBJ signed the Civil Rights laws into effect, since the Republicans opposed the Civil Rights laws. When Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act he said that “we have lost the south for a generation”. He was unreasonably optimistic, considering that a fair portion of them hadn’t conceded the Civil War. The people who agreed with that legislation tended to vote Democratic after it was passed. The Dixiecrats then abandoned the Democratic party in droves, since the Republicans agreed with them, and the KKK and other hate groups have been voting with the Republicans since that time. If you look at an election map and see where the red and the blue are located, then compare membership numbers for hate groups, you will see a very strong correlation. I plan to keep this explanation and post it in response to every time I see someone calling the Democrats the party aligned with the hate groups. I doubt it will change anyone’s mind, but I don’t want incorrect information to go unchallenged.

interesting how all the “news” reports twist the story to make it sound like she was tweeting anti-white remarks while in the diversity-related position, which of course wasn’t the case. as always, the right wing has to twist the truth, because reality doesn’t fit the narrative. and the remarks, while snarky, were pretty innocuous when compared to what adams said. not that that’s at all relevant…

What Kelley isn’t saying is that the tweets were made by the official before she was employed/hired by the DoD. The government cannot punish an employee for things they did before becoming its employee. The employee was reassigned to a position with different job responsibilities – as severe an adverse action as it could take under the circumstances.

I’m curious, was the Pentagon officer white or black. She’s black. But come on, it’s not like she hung someone.

How about bringing Dilbert to Go Comics and let each subscriber decide if they want to see the comic on their favorites list and for other subscribers to not try to cancel it if they don’t like something about the comic or cartoonist.

This is in response to the incredibly ignorant Diane in case she deletes her post.

You need to really study history before you make biased, out of context comments. Truman was a full blown Democrat racist. Here is a excerpt from a letter to his wife:

“I think one man is just as good as another so long as he’s honest and decent and not a n!&&er or a Ch!nam@n… I am strongly of the opinion that negr0$ ought to be in Africa, yellow men in Asia and white men in Europe and America.”

But being a pragmatist and a power hungry Democrat he knew that he needed the black vote. He was under extreme pressure from black civil rights leaders who basically threatened him that black Americans would never again fight in the armed forces and would refuse being drafted. He signed E.O. 9981 Desegregation of the Armed Forces because his fellow Democrats in the Senate and House were totally against it and although the Republican minority were for it, the Democrat majority would not have allowed it to be passed.

Regarding the 1964 Civil Rights Act, it was filibustered by democrats Thurmond, Byrd, Fulbright, Russel and Al Gore Sr. If not for an overwhelming Republican majority support vote, 80%+, it would not have passed.

Regarding Dixiecrats and southern Democrats going Republican due to politics, you’re delusional. I’m solidly Conservative but have family in the south. Just a few years ago I had a conversation with my solidly Democrat Brother as to how the Democrat party has seemed to gone astray from the southern Democrat values. His response? “Never trust a Republican.” This is directly due to the Civil War.
