If Payne possessed a scintilla of a sense of humor, he would have depicted that Kops paddy wagon with a geyser of steam shooting out the radiator and the cap a foot above the hood. But, no; Payne is far, far too obtuse and sodden with his dopey tropes to employ that sort of well trodden cliché.
The only big thing I found was about Kristina Karamo, the new chair of the Michigan Republican Party, and Trump supporter, has called Gov. Whitmer a “monster” because she wouldn’t promote the use of hydroxychloroquine. Even though any studies showed that hydroxychloroquine (and ivermectin) were NOT effective to treat or prevent Covid, Karamo is falsely claiming that Whitmer “cost lives”.
There was some silliness about her recommendation that people don’t gather and ignore spacing recommendation at places hardware stores looking for seeds in February in Michigan. Whitmer recently said some restrictions during the height of the pandemic were probably more than absolutely necessary; Repubs call this “back-peddling”, I call it admitting that ALL of us were not sure what to do to protect ourselves and others.
Payne prefers those that continue to promote out-and-out lies like Karamo.

What a weak attempt at a smear campaign. Must be worried she is moving up in the modern world?

All caught up in the Kovid frenzy. Who woulda guessed the International scientists were the best and most reliable source of information about Covid?

Henry sure does a lot of toons featuring Ms. Whitmer. I think he’s in love.

Payne uses silent movie reference a century old in a toon that he must have forgotten to run two years ago. The epitome of reactionary conservatism.
