Yes, pets can alleviate loneliness. Please adopt.

In a reverse view. There is a SERIOUS epidemic of loneliness in the USA today…. and most of it is found in animal shelters. You can relieve their loneliness while you relieve your own. ;-) Think about it.

    “We are always here.”

That’s the really sad thing. They are ALWAYS there. Nobody ever adopts them. Worst thing for a dog is to live out it’s years in a shelter, never having a forever home. It’s basically life in prison for someone who deserves it the least.

I have seen adapted dogs steaked out and never loved; hell I have seen unwanted and unloved kids live worse than the steaked out dogs because they were beat on a regular basis, on Friday after school hell. Why are people like that?

We’re here because we’re here because we’re here because we’re here…. (World War I soldiers song, to the tune of Auld Lang Syne)

ALL but one of my animals have been rescues. They KNOW when they are rescued and the payback is immeasurable. They end up rescuing me instead : )

My family always gets rescued dogs and kitties. I want to take them all home…they break my heart when visiting the shelter. ☹️☹️☹️

You are never lonely with pets. I wish I could adopt a dog, but I simply don’t have room for the size of dog I want.

Sadly, too many people have a hard time, for one reason or another, taking care of themselves never mind taking care of a pet. Thank you to all of you who foster, until a forever home can be found.

A Blessing on you all. They are God’s creatures for us to love. Even cats.

Dogs and cats are terrific people. My adopted cat tells me so frequently.

Dogs and cats are terrific people. My adopted cat tells me so frequently; the dog (from an unwanted litter) agrees.

On the other hand, we do enjoy the entertainment you provide as a comic strip.

I am planning to add volunteer time in a shelter to my life. I can assist with training, walking, and helping socialize, plus whatever else they need. I want more dogs and my HOA forbids it. Maybe I can weekend one now and then. Every dog deserves loving, since every dog I have ever met is so full of unconditional love it’s almost overwhelming.

All of my Dogs were either given to me or rescued just before they went to a shelter ….. even one when I had this kid’s (that shouldn’t even have a Dog) Grandmother and Sisters called me to come an tell him he had to take better care of his dog (he wouldn’t listen to them) ….. when I got there, the poor Dog was on a short chain, frozen water (middle of winter … she was a Husky) and bare dog house ……. I got her fresh water, and a couple of blankets to lay on ……. He came home and I told him in no uncertain terms, that the next time I came she had better be taken care of or I was going to chain him to that dog house ………. a days later I got a call to come get the Husky ….. which I did, it took about a month before she wasn’t skittish ……….. :)
