Media is corporate. They’re in it for the bottom line. Knowing that should be the starting point. Then, look at multiple sources; look at some foreign sources. If you are unable to explain opposing argument (s), you need to read more. Too many just enjoy their bubble of confirmation bias.
To me, the cartoon is another false equivalency. When the “left wing media” (whatever that means) perpetuates a lie that almost prevents the peaceful transfer of power in fear of losing viewers, then a comparison can be made. Another “whatabout” that diminishes the seriousness of Fox News’ influence on the events leading up to Jan 6th.
That would be “disinformation”, not misinformation. Misinformation is a mistake, disinformation is intentional, usually with an agenda of propaganda to sway the listener’s point of view. Also known commonly as “fox tactics” or lies.
Does CNN and MSNBC admit they lie to their viewers for stock value behind the scenes and in legal dispositions? Do CNN and MSNBC hire lawyers to argue in court that nobody should believe their shows? is this not another false equivalence to cover up the fact that Fox admits they are entertainment and not news to assuage their gullible viewers?

Beckom trots out more ‘False Equivalence!’
[ AND, he may not know there is a vast difference between ‘bias’ and ‘dishonesty!’ ]

Bingo. Except there’s not enough room on the stove top for ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, etc.

Lame bothsidesism. There is nothing CNN nor MSNBC has done that even comes close to the Fox debacle.
